Bar-S Foods Co. would like to assure all of our customers that none of our products contain any raw materials from the animal or the processor that tested positive for bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) in Washington state. Secondly, while it has been suggested by some experts that advanced meat recovery (AMR) products allowed by USDA/FSIS may have an increased risk of containing some central nervous system tissue, Bar-S DOES NOT allow or use ANY AMR meat in our raw materials or finished goods. Bar-S has always been a leader in the processed meat industry, achieving the highest levels of quality and safety, and while the single incident of BSE is unfortunate, we remain confident in the safety of our beef supply, and the products we produce. Our consumers can rest assured that our products are safe and wholesome. |
