  • 10 slices of bread of choice or 1 loaf of Italian French bread (from grocery store bakery)
  • 20 slices Bar-S Deli Shaved Ham (4 slices per sandwich)
  • 5 slices Swiss cheese
  • Mayonnaise (1 teaspoon per sandwich)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons milk
  • Salt

  1. Heat griddle or skillet to about 300 F.
  2. Lightly spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread (mayonnaise side will be the inside of sandwich).
  3. In a flat bowl, whisk together eggs, milk and a pinch of salt.
  4. Melt butter on the skillet and then dip the first 5 slices of bread in the egg mixture (non-mayonnaise side) and place each slice egg side down on the griddle.
  5. Immediately layer with 1 slice of Swiss cheese, and 4-6 slices of Bar-S Deli Shaved Ham. Then top each sandwich with another slice of bread with the top side dipped in egg mixture.
  6. Press down firmly on each sandwich with a spatula and cook for 3 minutes or until deep golden brown. Then flip the sandwiches and press down the other side with the spatula.
  7. Cook another 3 minutes until it is golden brown, and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove and serve hot!
