Bar-S Chopped Deli Ham

  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise, optional
  • Bread, white or wheat
  • Bar-S Classic Chopped Ham
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • Shredded carrots
  • Sliced olives
  • Lettuce


  • Use bread to create lion shape. A circle for a head, rectangle for body, and strips for legs and tail.Use a pizza cutter for easy cutting.
  • Spread mayo on bread pieces and place in lion shape.
  • Cut ham to match the bread cutouts and place on bread.
  • Cut cheese into the same shapes and cover the sandwich completely.
  • Place finished sandwich in the oven on broil. Watch closely for the cheese to melt and take out in about 5 minutes.
  • Use shredded carrots to create a mane for the lion’s face, whiskers, and tail end then use olives for eyes, and lettuce for under legs as grass.
  • Let cool and transfer to a serving place.
