Ingredients:
- 5 tablespoons butter
- Black pepper
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons apple cider
- 4 strips Bar-S bacon, cooked and chopped
- Bacon drippings
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 quart chicken or turkey stock
Directions:
- First melt the better in a sauce pan over medium heat. When melted, slowly whisk in black pepper and flour to create a roux.
- Then add apple cider, bacon bits, bacon drippings, and maple syrup. Cook for about 1 minute.
- Slowly mix in turkey or chicken stock. Turn heat up a bit and continue to whisk gravy until it thickens so that it coats a spoon
- Serve over biscuits for breakfast or for dinner poured over mashed potatoes and chicken or turkey however you like.
