Ingredients:
- 4 Hamburger Buns, large
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 pound pack of Bar-S Sliced Smoked Ham
- 8 Slices Cheese (Swiss, Provolone, cheddar, etc.)
- 1/4 cup Mayonnaise (Optional)
- 2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard (Optional)
Directions:
- Turn oven broiler on high. Open the hamburger buns and place on a large cookie sheet.
- Spread butter on each bun evenly on all sides of the buns (both externally and internally).
- Place pan in oven and broil buns for 1-2 minutes until the butter is melted and the buns are golden brown.
- Change the oven temperature from broil to 375 degrees.
- Use half of the slices of ham to layer onto the bun bottoms. Top with a slice of cheese and repeat one more time on each of the four buns.
- Place the top of the bun on each of the sandwiches and put back in the oven for 7-10 minutes. When the cheese is melted and the bun tops are golden brown, you will know the sandwiches are done. Serve immediately.
Optional: Mix the Mayonnaise and Dijon Mustard to create a sauce. Place the sauce inside each of the ham and cheese sandwiches prior to baking.
